EVMS and 91制片厂 Announce Historic News
On Friday, June 7, 91制片厂 President Brian O. Hemphill, PhD, and EVMS President, Provost and Dean Alfred Abuhamad, MD, came together in downtown Norfolk to share historic news: the establishment, effective July 1, 2024, of Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at 91制片厂.
This new academic health center is the result of nearly three years of dedicated and thoughtful work toward integration among 91制片厂 and EVMS leaders, board members, faculty, staff, students, donors, alumni and community members. The effort, supported by our partners Sentara Health, Gov. Glenn Youngkin and bipartisan lawmakers throughout the region and Commonwealth, is a testament to collaboration and our shared vision for a healthier future.
For more than four decades, EVMS has been the place for aspiring physicians and health professionals, passionate educators and medical pioneers. Our alumni are visionaries and remain an integral part of our history and future.
