Boot Camp
During their first month, our Emergency Medicine interns complete a boot camp series in addition to Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Boot camp sessions are highly interactive small group simulated based sessions such as our Emergency Ultrasound Course, Advanced Airway Day, Shock Day, Central Line & Chest Tube Course, and Minor Procedure Lab.

Small Group Simulation
- Every Thursday.
- Two full hours of small group highly interactive hands-on simulation.
- Custom-built simulation models.
Journal Club
- Monthly.
- Setting is a fun local restaurant, brewery, or theme destination.
- Evidence-based appraisal of real patient care questions arising from our practice.
- Provides our residents with a critical thinking skill set that lasts long after residency.
Rotation Schedule
Our clinical rotation schedule has you learning not just from our own emergency medicine award-winning faculty, but from the best educators in the region, including world renowned trauma surgeons.
We feature several unique rotations such as a dedicated ED-based critical care rotation, interventional radiology rotation, pediatric anesthesia, pediatric sedation, neonatal ICU, and career exploration elective time.
