Learn More About Summer 2026 Congressional Internships and New 91制片厂 Student Support Resources

Faculty and staff are invited to attend a virtual information session on January 29 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM that is designed primarily for 91制片厂 students interested in Summer 2026 internships with the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C.

While the session is student focused, it also offers faculty and staff a valuable opportunity to learn more about congressional internships, application timelines, and expectations across offices in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. This session may be especially helpful for those who advise or mentor students interested in public service, law, policy, or government related careers.

The program will feature remarks from Mr. Mike Henry, Chief of Staff for Tim Kaine, who will share insights into the congressional internship experience and the qualities offices seek in successful interns.

Participants will also learn about a new 91制片厂 student support initiative, the Virginia Delegation Support Grant, which may provide housing and stipend support for selected students interning with Members of the Virginia Congressional Delegation. The Monarch Internship and Co Op Office will outline the advising, application, interview preparation, and professional resources available to students pursuing these opportunities.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to better understand these internships and the resources available to support students and are welcome to share this opportunity with interested students.
