UNIVERSITY OF KITAKYUSHU FACULTY EXCHANGE PROGRAM
 

The Office of International Collaborations invites applications for the 2026 Monarch Faculty Exchange Program at the University of Kitakyushu (UKK), Japan in August 2026.

 

Program highlights:

  • Open to 91ÖÆƬ³§ full-time faculty in the Humanities or Social Sciences.

  • Teach 15 classes (3 per day over 5 days). Each class is 90 minutes.

  • Classes must be taught in English and focus on topics related to the U.S.

  • UKK provides housing and a small stipend.

  • OIC covers round-trip airfare and international health insurance.

  • Faculty cover passport fees, meals and personal expenses.

  • Selected faculty agrees to serve in the selection committee choosing the UKK faculty 2027 awardee.

  • Updated CV

  • Tentative syllabus (course title, learning outcomes, topics for all 15 class sessions).

  • Please choose class materials that you can provide or are freely accessible as we cannot request
    UKK students to purchase textbooks.

  • 1–2-minute teaching video (e.g., Zoom recording) of any topic but showcasing your use of visual aids and
    techniques that can help students whose first language is not English.
