About this Program
91ÖÆÆ¬³§ offers a Master of Science in Education degree in physical education with a concentration in coaching. This 30-credit track is an advanced program to understand best practices and the most updated research in the field of teaching and learning in HPE. This research track concludes with a student-lead thesis project. The practice track concludes with a student internship. The emphasis areas include adapted physical education, coaching education, and curriculum & instruction for teaching licensure.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

A demonstrated computer literacy.

Submission of the following:
- Statement of purpose essay
- Three letters of recommendation from professional sources
- Current copy of resume
- Transcripts from all prior colleges and universities
- The GRE may be waived for applicants with quality undergraduate GPAs.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. There is no set deadline for applications to be submitted.
For Admission to the Physical Education Program
A cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.80 and a GPA of 3.00 in the undergraduate major courses.
A score of at least 291 (900 by former scoring standard) in the quantitative and verbal portions of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) - GRE scores are required for consideration of admission for all candidates. (In some circumstances, students who have either a low GPA or a low GRE score may be considered for admission with provisional status).

Tuition is charged per credit hour. Amounts shown are tuition only and do not include mandatory fees, technology-delivered course fees, course-specific fees, books, housing, meal plans, or other costs. Campus-based students may take technology-delivered or online courses. Tuition is based on student classification.
